Having crested over the age of 50, my life's work is now to develop the next generation of leaders by sharing practical wisdom that bridges the gap between business theory and real-world application. I believe that success comes from demonstrating grit and resilience in pursuit of meaningful goals, continually learning, building strong cultures, and making decisions with both competence and character. 

Through teaching, mentoring, and writing, I endeavor to help current and future professionals—particularly in commercial real estate—understand not just what to do, but how to do it with integrity, humility, and effectiveness. My goal is to create a multiplier effect: the people I interact with will go on to build positive cultures and develop others, creating lasting impact far beyond what I could achieve alone. It is a lofty goal, but I will keep working at it!

I teach Strategic Asset Management in the Master of Real Estate program at the University of San Diego where I was nominated for the Professor of the Year Award by the Knauss Business Graduate Students in 2024 and 2025.  I am also the Chief Operating Officer at Westcore, an owner and operator of industrial properties across the United States.

At Westcore, I focus on operations, strategy, culture, and internal education (Westcore University).  I have direct oversight of asset management, construction, property management and insurance.  I also work closely with the leasing and transactions teams.  I started at Westcore in 2004 as Associate Acquisitions Manager and grew with the company to become the COO.  In 2008, I created Westcore University to better expose all team members to the inner workings of Westcore. 

I received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
